イリノイからご挨拶申し上げます。
私、ダグ ヨンツは皆様のセンチュリーコーンを生産している農家です。
私たちの先祖が今の場所で1854年に農場を始めて以来、私たち兄弟は6代目となります。
私自身は2000年から家業のヨンツ・ファミリーファームを楽しく継がせてもらっています。
3500エーカーの農場でセンチュリーコーンはじめ、大豆、種子会社向けの種子用とうもろこしも栽培しています。
妻のレイチェルとは15年前に結婚し、今や6人の子供達（11歳、9歳、7歳、6歳、5歳、3歳）の父親です。
カーギルのセンチュリーコーンプログラムに参加してからは6年となります。
常にベストの品質でお届けすべく、適切な輪作、施肥、作付、収穫、乾燥、取扱い、分別管理に注意し、カーギルの厳しい受入検査に合格できるよう汗を流す毎日です。
2015年の6月には日本を訪れ、昭和産業グループ、採卵農場の宮澤農産・GPセンター、生協さんを通じて、自分達が育てたセンチュリーコーンが日本でどのように消費されているかを実際に見る機会をいただきました。
どのポイントでも細心の注意が払われながらも効率良くセンチュリーコーンから鶏卵に至るまで大切に扱われている姿に大変感銘を受けました。
日本という国も私にとって、とても印象深く、日本の皆さんが自分達の国、仕事、人々、家族をいかに大切にしているかには驚きさえ覚えました。
そして、お会いした多くの方々が誇り、誠実さ、尊敬をもって人々と接しているのも強く感じられました。
この場を借りて私たちが育てたセンチュリーコーンをご愛用頂いている皆様に感謝を申し上げます。
私たちはこれからも皆様の期待に応えられるように励んでいきます。
センチュリーコーンを通したこの素晴らしい関係がこれから先も継続されるようにと願っています。

Greetings from Central Illinois,
My name is Doug Yontz, and we produce century corn for you on our farm. Our farm was established in the year of 1854 and my brother and I are the 6th generation of Yontz’s to farm our land. I began my farming career in 2000, and have enjoyed farming more each year since then. We currently farm 3500 acres, in which we raise century corn, soybeans, and seed corn for the Monsanto corporation. My wife, Rachel, and I have six children ages 11, 9, 7, 6, 5, and 3. We have been married for 15 years.
We have delivered century corn to Cargill for your consumption for 6 years. We strive to deliver the highest quality product that we can. We do this by proper crop rotation, adequate fertilization of the land, timely planting and harvesting, proper drying and grain handling, segregation of century corn in our grain storage, and strict testing for century corn purity by Cargill.
I was able to travel to Japan in June of 2015 to visualize the process the consumption process of our corn. We were able to visit Showa, the Miyazawa layer farm, and CO-OP net. I was very impressed with efficiency, attention to detail, and business acumen of each of these companies. Japan, as a country, greatly impressed me. I was amazed at how you value your country, work, people, and family. Honor, integrity, and respect are characteristics most Japanese people possess.
I would like to thank you for purchasing our century corn, and we will strive to provide you with the best quality century corn product that we can. I believe that we have developed a wonderful business relationship, and would like it to continue for years to come. We also welcome visits from any of you to our farm. We love hosting our Japanese friends to our farm in Delavan, IL.
